Kid Rock's 'All American Halftime Show' Debuts New Cover Song

Kid Rock made a splash at Turning Point USA's 'All American Halftime Show' on Sunday, offering a MAGA-style alternative to Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance. The event, held at an airplane hangar, resembled the set of 'American Idol'. Rock, dressed in a distinctive ensemble of jean shorts, a white fur coat, a black fedora, and low-top white sneakers, kicked things off with the first verse of his 1999 hit, 'Bawitdaba'.

His second performance was a unique cover of Cody Johnson's 'Til You Can't', a song about seizing the day and appreciating life's blessings. Rock added a new verse, touching on the importance of the Bible and Jesus, which received a warm reception from the audience. The studio version of this cover will be available for streaming starting midnight.

The 35-minute show, announced earlier in the week, attracted approximately 6 million live viewers on YouTube and was also broadcast on several right-wing news networks. The event began with Brantley Gilbert's guitar solo rendition of the National Anthem, followed by Gilbert's performance of 'Real American', complete with spotlights, fire, and shooting flames. Gabby Barrett, a former 'American Idol' contestant, performed 'I Hope' and 'The Good Ones', while Lee Brice delivered a three-song set, including a powerful commentary on the challenges of being country in a modern, politically charged world.

The show's finale was a tribute to Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist who was tragically assassinated in September 2025.
