What Exactly is WarGames?
But here's where it gets controversial... Created by WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes in 1987, WarGames is a unique match type. It features two rings side-by-side, enclosed by a massive steel cage. The match usually involves two or three teams battling it out.
The match starts with one wrestler from each team in the ring. After five minutes, a second wrestler from one team enters, creating a temporary advantage. Two minutes later, a wrestler from the opposing team evens the odds. This continues until all competitors are in the cage.
A team wins by pinning or submitting any member of the opposing team.
